GAME OVER - Day 6 and 7

Easter Sunday

I have never been this crazy in all my life. I hadn’t heard from Jerry all day on Saturday, but I talked myself out of jumping off bridges or running into traffic so all-in-all it was a huge success! And just when I had thought of every terrible thing that he could be doing, he sweeps me off my feet again! But we had another rough patch just around the corner.

I received one email from him that I didn’t get until the following day because the email we use to talk during the week isn’t something I ever checked unless I was as work.

Jerry: I miss you…I am coming to you…Monday is so long to wait and I need to see my girl today…

So, I had plans on Easter Sunday with my dad and Missy (Mimi) and she always makes an amazing meal. Mimi likes to know how many people are coming because she would rather have too much food instead of not enough food. Well, she had no clue I was bringing a plus one! Thank goodness she had enough food.

Jerry showed up at my house that morning looking like a whole snack and there are no words to describe how happy I was. For two people to not want anything serious we sure had a hard time staying away from each other. He met my kids that morning and agreed to go with me for Easter.

When we get to my dad’s house, I don’t remember being nervous at all. Missy is the sweetest and my dad doesn’t have a serious bone in his body. Jerry was nervous and decided to head outside to hide all the Easter eggs for the kids. Looking back and knowing how quiet he is in certain situations; it makes perfect since. Dad asked me how long we had been seeing each other because they hadn’t heard about him at all. I told him it had been 5 or 6 months, but it was nothing serious. I mean, how do you tell your dad that it had only been 5 days? Well, you don’t tell your dad something like that!!

We had an amazing day and in case anyone wants to know, Mr. Garland, stayed with me and the kids that night. We all fell in love with him.

Subject: Hey Babe

Jerry: I like you a lot…just saying :-)

Me: You have only known me 6 days LOL and I was afraid you wouldn’t see my text when I told you he asked me, and I said 5 or 6 months. LOL

Jerry: I know enough babe…I know how I feel about you…mwahhhh

Me: Well, I got to thinking about all our kids. Yours are so close to being out of the house and two of mine are not even 10 years old yet. I am absolutely crazy about you, but I want you to think about something. If this is too much I completely understand. I know we can’t stay away from each other, but we need to be realistic too. You can retire, travel, go fishing, go riding with your friends, and enjoy your life the way you want to. I am still raising small children and I do not want you to feel obligated to us at all. I also feel guilty getting a babysitter because when my last relationship with Hannah and Isaac’s dad ended, I was a good mom. I just want to do lots of things with them. So lets think about our kids and what we really want to do before we go further.

Jerry: lol…your silly I was going to tell you how much money I made and see how much money you make so we could find out what we can do together….babe can I see you today…I will come to you after work I dont have extra clothes so I will have to go home tonight…

Me: I am being serious, Jerry. You are not going to have any free time at all. We have 9 damn kids between the both of us.

Jerry: when I was away for the military I got to see some real cool places…all I would think is how fun it would be if I had my kids with me…lets do nothing with out taking our kids with us…lol

Me: Oh my gosh, that is amazing, but I really need you to take some time and think about this. We can talk about it later when you come over. We need to really think about how this is going to work out. We have 6 kids that are still at home, and I don’t want to leave any of them out.

Jerry: well my girls have boyfriends so they dont want to hang out with me…mikey will go with me any where I go…

Me: Well, we can take boyfriends too. I really want to do everything with them!

Jerry: no babe…I dont like boyfriends…we just take the girls…lol

Me: Do not say that!!! That is such a dad thing to say :-) LOL

Jerry: so we will talk about money tonight…and we wont do anything with out our kids now…is that ok

Me: I was really trying to give you an easy out. I just know that it would be something I would have to think about and something we would have to have a serious conversation about.

Jerry: we talked about it last night…you said we could give all these kids away and not worry about it…lol

Me: If you don’t stop bringing up the fact that I talk in my sleep, drool, and snore then I am going give you an even easier way out LMAO

Jerry: ok babe…that is why I didnt tell you that you even ate in your sleep…it was so cute…you didnt even have food in the bed…LOL… ;-)

Me: Jerry…you are really pushing your luck…

Jerry: I am leaving work sexy… I am going to your house and I will show you the video…then I am going to kiss your mouth... ;-)

Me: VIDEO!!! WTF!! What video?? Did you video me eating in my sleep???

Me: If you are still at work, you better email me back Jerry Anthony Garland!!! I will fight you.

Me: I am mortified. I am so embarrassed. When I go to sleep you need to just go to sleep too. Watching someone sleep is creepy and weird. If you can’t go to sleep like a normal person you need to see a doctor.

Me: Jerry…

Well, we all know how this little argument worked out. I obviously wasn’t very good at giving him an out, no matter how easy it was. I had forgotten about these little conversations and I really enjoyed going back to this day!
