Girls United #GameChanger

I was asked by the amazing Christy Gordon to take over the blog for Girls United and it was an opportunity I could not refuse. My first blog entry, Mind-Body-Soul, has been published and when I finally took a step back to look at it I couldn't believe it was actually mine! This is a nonprofit organization for young women/teenagers and I am so excited to have a small part in this with other amazing women!

I always wanted to be a servant to others but just never could get it to connect. My husband and I talked about me doing something different hundreds of times, but I could never put my finger on what it was I wanted to do. I just felt like I needed to find a way for my life to mean something. I feel like Jerry is opening up doors for me and giving me opportunities to allow me to help others. I feel my husband in this.

When I met my husband I found my purpose. Jerry was my reason to live. Jerry was supportive of all my crazy dreams and never made me feel insecure. Now that he is gone I have a fire in me to do exactly what I want to do. I think that he is the reason all of these doors are opening for me and even though he isn't here physically, he is still in everything I do.
